Cedarwood Therapeutic Grade™ Essential Oil
Cedarwood Essential Oil (Cedrus atlantica) has a warm, balsamic, woody aroma and is relaxing and soothing when used for massage, and can be used as a dietary supplement to maintain healthy lung function.* Cedarwood essential oil has long been used as a beneficial ingredient in cosmetic preparations for oily skin. Cedarwood has an approximate ORAC of 1,689,996 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter.
Historical Data: Cedarwood has been used throughout antiquity. The Egyptians used it for embalming the dead. It was also used as incense in Tibet.
The fourteenth chapter of Leviticus, 14:54-56, describes a blend of the essential oils of 50% cedarwood and 50% hyssop to balance the skin. The Biblical remedy suggests applications of the oil blend to the right ear, the right thumb, and the right big toe which are all emotional reflex points for the right brain.
Cedarwood Essential Oil Key Constituents:
Alpha-Himachalene — 10-20%
Beta-Himachalene — 35-55%
Gamma-Himachalene — 8-15%
Delta-Cadinene — 2-6%
Uses: Create a relaxating atmosphere by diffusing. Cedarwood essential oil is excellent to use as natural pest control is also one of the oils used in a protocol to get rid of beg bugs.
Fragrance: Cedarwood essential oil is recognized for its calming, purifying properties.
Application: Apply directly on location, chakras, Vita Flex points, directly inhale, diffuse, or take as a dietary supplement. When using as a supplement, dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of vegetable oil and put in a capsule. Then take one capsule before each meal or as desired. Dilution is usually not required and is suitable for all but the most sensitive skin. Dilute before using on sensitive areas such as the face, neck, genital area, etc. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid using on infants and very small children. Cedarwood is safe for children over 2 years of age.
